About

The Fellowship for the New Evangelization is a group of Diocesan Directors of Youth and Young Adult Ministries who are products of the "JPII generation" and continue to be inspired and encouraged by the ministries of Pope Benedict XVI, Pope Francis, and now Pope Leo XIV. We exist to support one another in our positions and in our ministry to young people through the Youth and Young Adult Ministries in our (arch) dioceses.
Diocesan ministry is a true joy, but can be a difficult position at times with few peers within our diocese. The Fellowship allows us to gather on a regular basis with those who are our peers in this work. We also study the documents of the New Evangelization and discuss methods of bringing this vision to fruition within our diocese.
We love Jesus Christ, our Catholic faith, our Holy Father Pope Leo XIV, and the deep traditions of our Church. We have committed ourselves to sharing these loves with the young Church of today.
We began this Fellowship in 2006 and are open to anybody that wants to join us in this mission.

Benefits

Collaboration
Regularly meet with other Diocesan Directors to benefit from their energy, ideas, wisdom, and experiences.
Formation
We read and study the documents of the New Evangelization to find ways to more effectively build the Church within our dioceses.
Prayer
Prayer is a must in diocesan ministry. Find yourself inspired and encouraged by the prayers of your peers.
Fellowship
We place an emphasis at every meeting and gathering to knowing how each member is growing personally and spiritually.

Goals

1. To keep Christ in the Eucharist as the central focus of our lives and ministries. We do this through an annual retreat for diocesan directors of youth and young adult ministries and by making prayer (especially Mass and Adoration) a top priority at our gatherings. 2. To foster an atmosphere of support and fellowship. We do this through our annual retreat, monthly Zoom calls, an email network, and by making fellowship a priority at our gatherings. 3. To work together to further the implementation of the New Evangelization in our Dioceses. We do this through a study of the documents of the New Evangelization on our monthly calls, through retreats/conferences to form youth workers in the New Evangelization, and by inviting new and current diocesan directors to share in the fellowship.

What our members say

When I first started working at the diocese, I had a lot of practical questions that the Fellowship helped me brainstorm and think creatively through. Now, I find that our monthly virtual meetings benefit me most by reminding me that I am not alone – the support and encouragement I find in the other members helps me to remember to keep Christ and evangelization at the heart of everything I do.
Katie Yankoski
Richmond Diocese
From the very first time I jumped on a monthly Zoom call, I’ve made the F4NE meetings a priority on my calendar because it is an enormous gift to be part of this community. I am very grateful to have peers across the country that just “get it” and provide both a prayerful support and an excellent wealth of resources.
Christine Najarian
Arlington Diocese
The Fellowship has been vital for me. Having relationships with peers in other dioceses to lean on, learn from, and walk with has been a tremendous gift. So many of the things that are bearing fruit in our diocese are directly related to this important group!
